Celebrating National Indigenous People’s Day – Friday, June 21

SMS has been very busy celebrating National Indigenous People’s Day, Friday June 21, 2019.  Some of the activities included sending students out on fishing field trips with community Elders, playing Indigenous games with classes in the field, and attending camp fire circle teachings. Thank you to our Indigenous Education department for your dedication and time put in to organizing these activities, and to everyone who contributed and participated by celebrating with your students!
