FIRST SMS PAC MEETING – WE NEED YOU!

When: Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 6:30pm – PAC ELECTIONS

Where: SMS Library or Online – must sign up for in person so we can set up the room with appropriate distancing or you can attend through an online platform like ZOOM or TEAMS

What We Do:

• Report from administrators
• Learn about past and upcoming events at SMS
• Allocate SMS PAC funds

Why Should Parents Attend?

• Get informed!
• Meet the administrators
• Have a voice in PAC spending/financial support

PAC Elections:

All parents are encouraged and invited to attend all PAC meetings, but we do need a formal executive.  The 2020-21 PAC elections will happen at this meeting.   Darcy Calkins will let her name stand for PAC treasurer and Anitra Worton is remaining as the Purdy’s Fundraiser Organizer.  We need a minimum of 3 people to serve on the PAC executive and the available positions and duties are:

President/Chair:

• creates and distributes the agenda
• chairs the meeting

Secretary:

• maintains up to date contact information for the PAC executive
• maintains an attendance list and contact information for all parents who attend PAC meetings
• maintains and circulates meeting minutes

DPAC Representative:

• attend DPAC meetings on behalf of SMS and provide a report at SMS PAC meetings

Members at Large:

• these executive members can take on various duties, like fundraising and then provide an annual report
