Happy Holidays & See You in January!
A Holiday Message from Ms. Griffith
Dear Parents,
Here we are again! The winter break brings all the excitement of the season with it. It is a busy time filled with the hustle and bustle of gift shopping for friends and family near and far. Fortunately, our traditions are diverse and we are able to enjoy lots of singing and decorating our homes in beautiful lights as part of many holiday celebrations. Life at school has also been very busy. We have danced, played volleyball, played basketball, studied hard, set goals, and prepared for an up-coming band concert in January!
In addition, we have enjoyed watching the students work for charitable causes. This has been inspiring for all of us! Thank you for your donations to Shuswap Paws as part of a campaign run by Division 211 – our furry friends are going to benefit greatly from all the contributions! Division 128 is excited to share great news too! Thanks to the generosity of our students and staff, we were able to donate $510.65 to the Red Cross Flood Relief. Thank you for supporting the families affected by the floods and mudslides.
We collected hundreds of pounds of food donations for the food drive which was hosted by Division 215. We sent many holiday cards and well wishes to Canadian soldiers serving abroad and we participated in community based charitable a clothing swap too – excellent work everyone!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff, students and parents for their continued support. Our school is truly a community school and it is at this time of year when the closeness of friendship shines in our students` faces. 2022 will bring new learning experiences, new challenges, and new fun. I
look forward to what lies ahead for us as a learning community.
I wish you all peace, joy, and happiness during this holiday season.
Sincerely,
Sydney Griffith, Principal
