Mrs. B’s Grade 8 class enjoyed a beautiful day at the Salmon Arm wharf with our Indigenous Education Workers, Theresa Johnson and Kaeli Hawrys. Tuesday June 8, these SMS Students had the opportunity to participate in and learn about traditional Indigenous activities including fishing and carving. It was exciting to catch a fish, learn about traditional indigenous activities, and enjoy a day in the sunny Shuswap.
It was wonderful to see so many classes have this opportunity and privilege with the support of our Indigenous Education Workers, teachers, and CEAs. Such an amazing place to live, work, learn, and play!
