Important Start-Up Information
- Parking and student drop-off areas:
Students are welcome to arrive at the school from 8:00 onwards. Please note that to ensure student safety, the upper drop off loop by the school’s front entrance will be a staff only zone that is closed to public vehicle use for student drop off.
Morning arrival is a busy time at SMS. Our busiest time is generally from 8:15-8:25am. To help with this, we encourage families to plan your drop-off point and to allow for extra time in the first weeks of school.
Vehicle drop-offs are:
Up the hill on 30th St, turn right into the lower parking area and exit onto Okanagan.
Coming from 10th Ave, turn right into the Field of Dreams parking area. Please note that this area has a separate entrance and exit.
2. Important Forms
Parent Connect has several forms that urgently need to be filled out. These include the Student Daily Health Check Form, the Walking Permission Form and the Student Verification Form.
To access Parent Connect, please click on the Parents & Students tab at the top of the SMS website page. Click on Parent Connect -> Log in -> click on your child’s name -> click to read the forms and select your response -> click save.
